TRIUMPH-3: Retatrutide & Cardiometabolic Research

September 10, 2026 • Human Research

🧬 RETATRUTIDE & CARDIOMETABOLIC RESEARCH

TRIUMPH-3 studied adults with severe obesity and established cardiovascular disease, with or without type 2 diabetes.

At 80 weeks, the 12 mg trial group had a reported average 22.6% reduction in body weight.

Researchers also reported changes in several cardiometabolic risk markers, including triglycerides, non-HDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, waist circumference, and hsCRP.

One especially important detail: the trial did not establish superiority for major cardiovascular events; the reported confidence intervals included no difference.

That’s why reading the whole result matters more than grabbing the most exciting number.

Retatrutide remains investigational and is not FDA-approved as of this post. 🧬
